On 5 June 2008 it was announced that 30 million people had ridden the London Eye since its opening in March 2000. The London Eye costed 70 million Euros to make and is equivalent to $91,367,280.71 U.S dollars.

The service, announced in July 2010 and estimated to cost £60 million($78,291,687.93), comprises a 1-kilometer (0.62 mi) gondola line that crosses the Thames River from the Greenwich Peninsula. At a height of 295 feet and a speed of 6m/s.

The name Big Ben is often used to describe the tower, the clock and the bell but the name was first given to the Great Bell.The Elizabeth Tower was completed in 1859 and the Great Clock started on 31 May, with the Great Bell's strikes heard for the first time on 11 July and the quarter bells first chimed on 7 September.
